MEETINGS AT
THE CROSSROADS
Face to face with...
A place where roads meet. A time of change.
MAKE YOUR TAX DEDUCTIBLE
CONTRIBUTION TO CROSSROADS
Crossroads is growing and we
need your help! Inspired by
these words, "Test everything;
retain what is good," we are in
the midst of our third season,
exploring with openness,
curiosity, and critical judgment
various subjects that have made
an impact on our culture. Will
you join us in this creative
community endeavor?

Over the course of our first two
years, Crossroads has
organized and sponsored
meetings across a vast cultural
spectrum—on literature, politics,
internet relations, and music, to
name a few topics—with guests
such as
Dana Gioia of the
National Endowment for the
Arts;
Wa'il Farouk of Cairo
University;
Christine Rosen of
the Ethics and Public Policy
Center;
Davide Rondoni,
Director of the Center for
Contemporary Poetry; and
Michael Novak , author,
philosopher, theologian, and
scholar at AEI. We explored two
exhibits at the
Renwick Gallery
and, at the
Cathedral of St.
Matthew
, we introduced the
"Talking Music" series with a
new way of listening to Mozart's
Requiem.

This fall, our exceptional
program began on October 10th
with "Market Turbulence and
Implications for the Global
Economy" with
Anne Krueger.
In November, we launched the
literary series, "The Pursuit of
Happiness," in the familiar
company of our favorite authors,
from Shakespeare to Jack
Kerouac, who will put us on the
adventurous road of human
desire.

All events are open to the public
and free of charge. If you can
